Celebrating Excellence in Children’s Literature

At the heart of the Kolkata Children’s Literature Festival lies a deep commitment to celebrating storytelling that sparks the imagination and shapes young minds. This year, we are thrilled to announce the KCLF Book Awards, a tribute to the exceptional Indian authors who inspire and enrich the world of children’s literature.

Three prestigious awards, each carrying a cash prize of ₹25,000, will be presented to recognize outstanding contributions across distinct age groups:

• Young & Early Readers (Ages 7 and below)
• Early Teens (Ages 8-12)
• Young Adults (Ages 13-18)

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines

We invite submissions of original works in English, Hindi, and Bengali that were published between 1st November 2024 and 31st October 2025. Entries open on 1st August 2025, and we welcome authors and publishers to join us in celebrating the art of storytelling.
